The Angelina Forest Products turnkey facility has been producing southern yellow pine lumber products since late 2019 and is expected to progress toward a full production capacity of approximately 305 million board feet over the next three to four years.

Sierra Pacific Industries has completed its acquisition of Seneca, giving the forest products producer more than 2.3 million acres of sustainably managed timberlands, 18 sawmills and eight renewable biomass energy cogeneration facilities, along with millwork and windows operations.
The lumber mill will produce 320 million board feet of lumber annually and result in 517 direct and indirect jobs. Tolko Industries and Hunt Forest Products are also partners in LaSalle Lumber Co.
Phase one includes nearly $19 million to upgrade lumber kiln-drying capacity, while the second phase will include an investment of approximately $138 million to completely modernize the Louisiana-based facility.
Interfor will invest $30 million to expand its sawmill operations in Perry, Georgia, according to an announcement by Gov. Brian Kemp and the Georgia Department of Economic Development.
The $550,000 investment includes upgrades to the gang rip and glue lines.
Hardwood specialist Danzer has sold its Bradford, Pennsylvania sawmill to a joint venture between hardwood producer Rossi Group and timberland investment firm Lyme Timber Co. The new owners say they plan to add at least 20 jobs to the existing 85 at the facility.
